Job Description:

This family of three is looking for a career nanny to join their family and help them care for their son. They are looking for someone who is not just skilled in childcare but someone who truly enjoys this line of work. The family is seeking a partner for their parenting team to enhance their child’s growth and development.

The parents would like a nanny that can perform basic nursery duties and household tasks pertaining to the child. A caregiver who is knowledgeable in early childhood development and always eager to learn more through reading and professional development would be best for this role. The family is willing to support your professional development as well.

Most importantly, the family wants a nanny that has a focus on child lead play. They do not want a nanny who is overly focused on academics. You should be prepared to get to his level and fill your day with laughter and fun.

There may be some travel throughout the year. However, the family does not see this as a requirement of the job but a plus if you are open to it.

A Spanish speaker would also be a plus but not a requirement.

The child is a water lover, and someone who not only can swim but is willing to play with him in the water is a plus!

Someone comfortable with animals is also required. The family has a Labrador mix that is their fur baby. Someone comfortable having him around the home is a must.

The work schedule is flexible but will typically be first shift hours Monday through Friday, with some weekend and night hours requested occasionally. (The family will guarantee 40 hours a week.)

This is a long-term position for at least a year but preferably longer.

This position is a live-out role and only considering candidates in North Carolina at this time.

The nanny will be expected to drive, but the family does not anticipate much driving at the start of the position.

A competitive pay rate is on offer to the right candidate depending on experience and education.
