Frequently asked questions
For your convenience, here are some frequently asked questions from parents and our answers. If you have any other questions or concerns please feel free to contact us.
Both programs have semester and full year registration options. However, because we put a heavy emphasis on team building and project based activities we do require at least a semester long commitment.
Both programs include a wide range of activities such as farm activities, nature exploration, social and emotional learning sessions, team-building games, project-based activities, and creative play. The Learning Explorers also will review core subjects during their time with the group.
The program is designed for children aged 6 to 9 years old (rising 1st and 3rd graders).
Students should come having already eaten lunch and pack a snack to have with the group. In addition students must have a water bottle everyday.
Your student should always have a backpack with a change of clothes, sunscreen, and bug spray.
We will provide the curriculum based on your child’s age and skill level. Our curriculum is a mixture of tried and true home school curriculums used by our homeschool mom educator that have been modified to meet North Carolina standards and our unique holistic approach to learning.
Our holiday and break calendar closely follows the Chapel Hill- Carrboro public school system. However, we do have a few dates that differ. Click Here to see our academic calendar for the 2024-25 school year.
