As a former career nanny, I know how important it is to continue your education as a nanny. That’s why at Nanny Posse, we are always excited about local training opportunities such as International Nanny Training Day (iNNTD). I’m thrilled to announce that we will be attending the iNNTD event for North Carolina hosted by Family First Household Staffing Agency in Charlotte on April 1st! Not only will we be attending but taking part, as we present two lightning round tables on 5 Ways to Use Sensory Bins and 5 Crafts to Make with Household Products. However, if you are not close enough to join us in Charlotte, there will be events all around the country and even some international events! To see where your closes event is, search through the list of various events by city. Still not sure why you should take part in an iNNTD event? Let’s dive into why investing in yourself as a nanny is so important!

Continued Education for Career Growth

As a nanny, it is important to keep yourself up-to-date on the latest child development practices and safety tips to help you in your role as a childcare provider. iNNTD events are an excellent way to get continued education in this area, as they provide both learning opportunities related to childcare and professional development courses, which can help you become more confident in your role as a professional in the industry. Attending these events can also give you access to new skills that will benefit both your practice and the children under your care.

The Benefits of Networking

Attending iNNTD events is an incredibly valuable way to expand your network and meet other professionals in the childcare industry. You could learn from their experiences, gain invaluable advice on how to lead a balanced life, negotiate better rates with all of your employers, or even hear about potential job openings. You may even meet agency owners or leaders in the industry who could offer you invaluable advice on how to build a successful career. With the right connections, attending these events can open the door to many exciting prospects – so don’t miss out!

Finding Support Systems

When you attend events like iNNTD, it is a great way to build meaningful connections and find support systems that understand the unique challenges of being a nanny. It’s common for those in the childcare industry to feel isolated, as the job can often require working long hours away from home and dealing with less-than-ideal work environments. Having someone else who really knows what it’s like can provide tremendous motivation when times get tough. Knowing you’re not alone in this line of work can help bolster your confidence and provide emotional strength – no matter what comes your way!

Pursuing continuing education as a nanny is an investment for your future and can open so many doors to professional growth and personal fulfillment. Exploring beyond traditional courses, specialized trainings in the nanny industry offer unique opportunities to network with others – something that is invaluable for career advancement. And if you’re looking for an opportunity to learn something new this April 1st while connecting with other amazing childcare providers from all over the world, join us by attending your local iNNTD event! We invite our North Carolina community and those near us to join us in Charlotte at Family First’s event- we look forward to seeing you there!
